Z.GROUP Consortium Wins Bid for Nanping Center Plaza Quality Enhancement Concept Design

Recently, our company, in partnership with General Research Institute of Architecture & Planning Design Co., Ltd, Chongqing University and DTZ Real Estate Consulting (Chongqing) Co., Ltd., won the bid for the "Conceptual Design for the Quality Enhancement of Nanping Center Plaza." The project is located on Nanping South Road, Nan'an District, Chongqing, flanked by existing commercial and office buildings such as Hongsheng Tower and Wanda Plaza. The design scope is divided into a research area and a key design area, approximately 25 hectares and 15 hectares respectively, with a road length of about 600 meters.

  • Overall Strategy: Through research on upper-level plans, analysis of existing conditions, and benchmarking against exemplary cases, five key issues were identified: business format, customer demographics, spatial form, transportation, and temporal usage (day/night/weekly patterns). The strategy proposes a unifying and rational "super IP" — Nanping Vibes•Brilliance; focuses on two main lines — business format enhancement and customer experience enhancement; charts three maps — spatial highlights, transportation improvements, and temporal hotspots; and constructs a five-vibes spatial structure: Central (Nanping Glow), North (Lively Leisure Time), West (Enlightened Time), East (Smart Time), South (Cool Fun Time).

  • Key Design: Continuing the "Cool Fun Time" positioning for Nanping Center Plaza proposed in the overall strategy, the plan creates the "Ten Scenes of Nanping": Nanping Halo Ring, Skyscape Stage, Media Facades, Brand Flagships, Sky Boxes, Super Plaza, Waterscape Courtyard, Twilight Night Market, Hidden Gems Bars, Moonlit Showground. These ten key scenes aim to enhance function and format, customer mix, spatial interfaces, transportation systems, and place vitality multidimensionally, forming an interconnected, vibrant, diverse, and exciting experiential consumption space.
