Urban Design for F10-1 (GeLaoXi Area) and Other Plots in Dadukou District

The overall positioning of the planning area is a riverside leisure and entertainment area, a cultural and creative expansion area, and an industrial culture exposition area. It aims to comprehensively utilize the industrial heritage of the ChongQing iron and steel company, the riverfront resources, the excellent water harbor resources and the old town of Mashangxi, and to build a display area of Dadukou Bridgehead and a public stage for the healthy life of the urban residents.

The building height in the middle of the site is controlled, of which 28% of the residential buildings are within 24 meters of the height control, and 25% of the buildings are within 40 meters of the height control, releasing the air space in the middle of the site to achieve the “leave a blank space and porosity”. Looking from the other side of the river, a large-scale “landscape window” can be seen in the site, with a width of about 300 meters, which directly connects the riverfront view with the belly of the site and effectively avoids high-rise buildings from “sheltering the landscape”. The high-rise buildings higher than 40 meters are generally arranged along the periphery of the site, echoing the overall landform of high outside and low inside, and the height is controlled according to the three intervals of 80-100-120 meters, so as to form the skyline level rising from the riverfront to the belly of the site one by one and break the problem of the single outline of the existing buildings.

Pre-control three “river-viewing balconies” in the commercial land along the river, “Yidu Park” and “Siyuan Park”, with an average area of not less than 500 square meters, seamlessly connecting with the city roads and park trails to ensure that the public can have a seamless connection with the park, and to ensure that the public can enjoy the river view from more spatial dimensions.

The project is designed by us in collaboration with General Research Institute of Architecture & Planning Design Co., Ltd, Chongqing University
